About the Instructor

Richard "Nat" Greer began his studies of piano and music theory at Yamaha Music School at age five. He continued his studies with fine piano teachers in Southern California. He was also privileged to study organ with world-renowned organist and composer Richard Purvis. He began teaching piano while in college and continued for many years.

He later received his teaching credential and taught elementary general music in the Queen Creek School District. There he produced many musical performances held at the Queen Creek Performing Arts Center.

Over the years, Richard has taught thousands of children of all grades in several school districts as a music teacher, substitute teacher, and paraprofessional.

After returning to private teaching, he completed extensive training in a new methodology that allows students to learn more intuitively and progress more quickly. He implements this methodology into his piano studio. During the day, he works as a paraprofessional, helping children with special needs.

He is organist at his church, a position he has held for many years. In addition to spending time with his family, he also likes to create music lesson plans for Teachers Pay Teachers, and occasionally tune pianos.
